I've had the XPS m1710 for a month now and I'm very satisfied with my decision. Some of the initial glitches have corrected themselves with time. I've been using the Acer Ferrari on occasion for almost a month. You know, the one we received from Microsoft and AMD as a ''review'' unit. In general, I like it and yes, I really like Windows Vista Ultimate edition. No surprise to many I'm sure. :) In all honesty, I would tend to agree with Marc Orchant in regards to Vista.
