Day of Dot Net In Chicago

Left Sioux Falls, SD this morning at 5:20. Made it to Chicago O'Hare by 8:00am Drove to Palatine, IL for the confeence. Actually would have been here earlier but it took a 3 mile drive to find coffee. Caribou Coffee is what I found. What is up with this

A good thing about this years election

This political race this year is as bad as it gets. Basically we have 2 half ass candidates slinging the most mud all dy and night. But there is a good thing that will come of this years elections. I am predicting that the turnout is gonna be the highest

Saw some cool stuff today. Doug Purdy from Microsoft impressed us with a great session on versioning web services. Saw a good presentation on using hardware tools with web services. Sitting through a session now detailing the Amazon.com web services.

Last night's dinner and panel session was interesting. Sat next to Chris Anderson (Avalon Man) and talked about avalon and other stuff. One topic that came up was what are the best uses of XML. The two that rose to the top of the heap were RSS and WSDL.....
