My First Geek Dinner
I went to a great Geek Dinner last night in Bellevue, WA.
Dan Appleman was in town promoting his book: Always Use Protection a Teenagers Guide to Safe Computing The Book
After his talk and book signing we went next door and had a great dinner and conversations. I spent hours talking with David Anderson, Sam Gentile, Don Alvarez Don who is trying to merge the gaming world with the film world www.accelleratedpictures.com and a bunch of others. We debated and argued over tons of cool topics: C#, VB.NET, Express Versions, BCL, etc.
I took my fiance Jessica. She hung in there pretty well but eventually resorted to reading her book. She got razzed by Sam a little. Then I showed the table how bored she was. She was reading a book on Gastrointestinal Medicine (she's a nurse)
I have some pix on my web site. Geek Dinner 07/28/2004
