SharePoint 2010 Site Throws Error After Upgrade

‘Access is Denied’ in SharePoint 2010 Search Crawl

After a recent SharePoint 2010 installation and configuration, a client attempted to enable search. Crawling internal content worked fine but the following error appeared in the crawl log related to people search: sps3://<server> Access is denied.

Error during SharePoint 2010 Prerequisites Installation

I did a SharePoint 2010 installation with a client yesterday and, per usual, we started with the installation of the prerequisites. Oddly, the installation failed and when we looked at the log we noticed that the error occurred during the installation
