World Clock and Weather Web Part from Bamboo Solutions
"Back in the day"... I wrote a blog entry on how to use some fancy javascript to build a world clock web part for SharePoint 2003. It was not the most elegant solution but it did allow global companies (or companies with global customers) to present times across various geographic locations. Point of fact, it was a pretty popular feature to a few portals I built.
Recently, I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of a new (free) web part to the CodePlex community of SharePoint code. It's a world clock and weather web part from Bamboo Solutions. Now I can show times AND weather in an easy to deploy and manage solution. Very slick... and well worth adding to your basket.
