Please welcome the newest member of the GTD Zone
I've been following the development of Bert's Open Loops blog for a couple of months now. I knew almost immediately that Bert was someone I wanted to include in the GTD Zone. I wrote to Bert shortly after he launched his blog and encouraged him to get in touch with me when he had gotten a bit of content in place so we could aggregate him into the Zone. Happily, that day has come!
Read this and you'll understand why I became a fan from Bert's very first post:
In my profession as a school administrator, I'm inundated with information, data, personal interaction, hundreds of tasks to get done (yes, I've counted up my to-do list tasks), and deadlines that I have to meet. Many days, my to-do list has to wait due to the urgent items (usually in the form of students sent to the office for discipline and must be dealt with NOW) that walk through the office door. So right now, my life is full of open loops that I have to close.
Sound familiar? In my GTD journeys, I've found that you can fill in the blanks (profession, crisis) and Bert's description of the essential challenges we're all trying to address holds true. Please visit Bert's blog and check out some of the great posts he's shared. I suspect you'll want to subscribe right away. Welcome to the GTD Zone, Bert!
