Nick Duffill offers a preview of new ResultManager features
Nick Duffill of Beyond Crayons and ResultManager fame offers a preview of a new (and most welcome) feature coming to ResultManager in the Yahoo! MindManager_GTD group.
There have been several requests for a system for dealing with completed activities. In the next release of ResultsManager, which will be in a week or two if we can finish the documentation, we are adding a system for logging completed activities and also a menu command & keyboard shortcut for completing an activity in one operation. When an activity is completed, it will append the date, the activity name and the name of the person finishing it to the text notes of the parent project or Result/subproject topic. So the text notes capture a log of completed actions within a project or part of a project. This means that the original activity topic can be deleted if preferred.
Excellent news! This will make maintaining and updating dashboard maps even easier. In the same post, Nick also offers some excellent advice on using the Maintenance Dashboard to find tasks that have not, for one reason or another, been connected to a dashboard. Great stuff.
