Tablet Enhancements for Outlook 2.0 released

Eintstein Technologies has released version 2.0 of their Tablet Enhancements for Outlook (TEO) add-in which makes Outlook a truly pen-friendly application. I’ve used TEO since I’ve owned my Tablet and it has become indispensable. With version 2.0, TEO has made entering and working with ink in Outlook a natural and seamlessly integrated activity.

The new version’s extensive list of features includes:

  • Create and Edit Outlook items in your own handwriting. Convert to text if and when you decide to.
  • New support for the Outlook Journal provides a place to store your handwritten notes and conversations. TEO supports Contacts, Appointments, and Tasks as well.
  • Smart defaults minimize entry required. Zip Code Lookup feature allows you to get the city/state for any US zip code.
  • Supports Microsoft Exchange Server. Your handwriting will be automatically synchronized across all of your computers. You can even access your handwritten notes from Outlook Web Access!
  • Supports Outlook XP and Outlook 2003. Optimized for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005.
  • Retrieve maps and directions for contacts with the click of a button. You can even annotate and email maps and directions to others.
  • No external applications. Your handwriting is kept in Outlook.
  • Toggle back and forth between TEO and Outlook views quickly and easily. A “View in Tablet Mode” button allows you to add handwriting to any existing Outlook item.
  • Easily create related items and convert between Appointments, Tasks, Contacts, and Journal entries.
  • Install TEO in read-only mode on an unlimited number of desktops or laptops to view TEO data created on a Tablet PC.

A 14-day trial of TEO is available. A single license costs $39.99 and volume discounts are available. Customers who purchased TEO 1.X prior to February 1, 2004 qualify for a free upgrade.
