Seattle PI web site changes content during the day

Here's a web site that "gets it". Radio and TV have been doing this forever. Why not the web? I know from personal experience that cretaing this sort of dynamic content and layout generation on a web site is not easy but it puts the Seattle Post-Intelligencer at the cutting edge of delivering the kind of information its readers want and need - at the moment they need it!

Seattlepi.com Dayparts Content

Perhaps in reaction to several findings over the past year regarding how people use newspaper sites, Seattlepi.com is dayparting its editorial layout. In the morning, the site will remain unchanged. At 1 p.m., the site will shift to an "Afternoon Update" layout featuring lighter news. At 4 p.m., the site will shift to a "4 O'clock Update" layout focusing on the commute home and what sports teams are playing at night. At 7 p.m., the site will shift to a "Night" layout covering shopping, television, game reviews and chatting.
