The toolbars war is on!
Reading a post today at Ars Technica it appears that the browser toolbar contest has begun in earnest with the beta release of Microsoft's MSN toolbar. Similar to the Google toolbar I've mentioned in previous posts, this new add-in for Internet Explorer enables search via MSN of course) and access to a number of Microsoft online services.
The biggest win seems to be for MSN and Hotmail subscribers in this first release but you can count on the fact that this sort of contest utimately benefits you and me most.
