Only two days and eleven hours to go before the MVP Summit will kick-off. Usually this is a four day event (half day opening, two days technical, half day closing) where MVP's are able to get in contact with all sorts of Microsoft employees in all levels of the organization. From Executives like Gates, Ballmer, Ozzie right to the workfloor, the develoment teams. You get the opportunity to talk about social things but most and for all the technical stuff and if possible the vNext (next version) stuff.

This year I managed however to pack the complete week with all sorts of side sessions, SDR meetings, Deep Dive sessions and offline social meetings leaving me no time at all to do some sightseeing in Seattle. No worry, don't feel bad... I really like the Summit with all its opportunities and it's good fun learning all the new things, it's food for thought and will bring new ideas.

I believe there are a lot of MVPs having difficulties getting to the Summit this year as there are a lot of extra security checks planned for airliners such as American Airlines, Alaska Airlines and others keeping the planes on the ground for the weekend.

Sunday I'll get on the transatlantic direct flight from Amsterdam to Seattle and will return leaving on Saturday from Seattle to Amsterdam arriving back on Sunday next week.

I'm pretty sure it will be another exhausting week, breakfast starting at 6:30AM and day ending beyond 11PM but I think it will be worth the effort and the costs to attend another great event!
