February 1st Microsoft announced that they proposed acquisition of Yahoo! for $31 per share, a transaction valued at approximately $44.6 billion in cash and stock that provides 62 percent premium to current trading price for Yahoo! shareholders, but that's not the most important news.

What's more important (<g>) is that the Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Office System Runtime version 3.0 is available for download. You now can download the installer and update the client machine by yourself. Off course you already could deploy your VSTO apps using the improved deployment options such as the ClickOnce deployment.

With this download you can however now take things into your own hand and make your own deployment decisions on how to and where you want to provide your VSTO v3 runtime for the client machine. One example would be one where you are in an Enterprise scenario and want to create an installer package to roll out the runtime company wide.

And now I almost forgot to give the most important thing, the download location. Well here it is:

There are some links in there (such as the link to the language packs) that may not yet work but eventually will. This language pack link will start to work when the language packs will be available.
