Preparing SharePoint Server 2007 Workflow Demo Environment - 7 - Add Role Application Server
Add the Application Server role to the server
Today we will, in the series to build a complete VPC, add the Application Server role to the server. By doing this Internet Information Server, ASP.NET and some other services are added that will be needed if you want to install the SharePoint Server.
To start adding the role to the server you start the Server Configuration Wizard and click Next to continue on the Welcome screen.
Read the instructions on Preliminary Steps and click Next.
Select "Application Server (IIS, ASP.NET) in the Server Role list and click Next to continue.
In the Application Server options dialog select the "Enable ASP.NET" checkbox and click Next to continue.
Read the summary in the Summary of Selections dialog and click Next to continue.
The changes are now in progress, wait until this is finished.
The Server is Now an Application Server. Click Finish to close the dialog.
In the next steps we will add POP services to the server.
