New AMR research report on Duet

Jim Murphy publishes an interesting report covering Duet market buzz, perception and readiness. Here is the summary (you will need to be an AMR customer to read the full report):

Duet, the jointly developed, marketed, and sold product from Microsoft and SAP, will need some time before it finds its harmony. That’s what the results show from AMR Research’s recent study of 210 U.S.-based SAP customers in the retail and manufacturing sectors on the product’s customer awareness and perceived value as well as respondent purchase plans. However, while the details of the survey don’t sing a pretty tune, only 23 respondents expressed any reservation about implementing it. It’s still a product garnering a whole mess of attention, and it should be. Users should be wary of the factors detailed in this article, but the gist of an effort to extend enterprise applications to more end users is worthwhile.
