It's Fox Day!!!

If Fox Day has any meaning to you (sorry stefox - not your day, but you can still enjoy it!), I'm sure you're reflecting on the great memories you have of Fox Day as a student at Rollins College.

Fox Day is a cherished tradition at Rollins where the Dean surprises everyone each spring by placing a fox garden figure out at the center of campus marking Fox Day. All classes, meetings, seminars and other events are cancelled. The students are urged

"to spend these hours in those pursuits which strengthen friendships and banish discord and add to memories which give pleasure and urge all others in the college to do the same".

This often meant a day of leisure at Cocoa Beach followed by evening festivities. Students frequently play "Fox Day Roulette" this time of year - engaging in late night activities and blowing off studies in hopes that the following day would be Fox Day. Sadly, I was never very good at this game.

While you might not be able to blow off your responsibilities today, why not take some time today pursuing the strengthening of friendships, seeking to banish discord, and adding to your pleasurable memories?

 Happy Fox Day!
