Getting started

IBF is a great tool for integrating disparate data into Microsoft Office 2003. However the learning curve is a little steep. Over the next couple of weeks I will post a series of entries that will build a complete IBF solution.

If there are certain parts of IBF that you would like to see demonstrated just let me know and I will do my best to implement that feature.

Real good Blog!
Do you know a way to fire up ibf in outlook when a email arrives and has no smarttag or hyperlink included?
I can trigger the newmail event and I am able to follow hyperlinks in word and excel, but I found no way to get it to work with outlook :-(
Trying to follow the hyperlink from a programatically created excelsheet ends up with an exception and the same for word documents.
Thanks for any help and this great Blog,
Paul

You would need to have some type of process that runs and looks at the emails as they arrive. Based upon some properties you could launch the IBF task pane using the object model.
