NewGator for Outlook Version 2.5 released

About 2 months ago I returned to one of my favorite applications, NewsGator. Newsgator started off as an Outlook based news aggretator, and in my opinion, still the best Outlook add-in.

For a while I switched away, I'll maybe share that story some other time. None the less, I finally returned to Newsgator. I am currently using Newsgator Outlook along with the web edition. Day to day, I'm in outlook. But at times I want to access my RSS feeds via the web or my PDA. I also own a few Mac's. So the ability to read my news feeds on the Mac via the Safari Browser is so enjoyable.

Newsgator sent out an email today highlighting they have now released version 2.5. It boasts these new features and many bug fixes:

* Status Synchronization: Read/Unread/Delete status of posts are synced.
* Folder Synchronization: Folder structure is synchronized with NG Web Edition
* International Support: French, German, Dutch, the list goes on
* Subscription Plan: Subscribe monthly as well as annually

The one thing I wish Newsgator did, and maybe it does, is allow me to subscribe via an RSS aggregator to my web based newsgator. That way I could use a richer aggregator on my PDA and still have all the synchronization benefits.

I also wish Newsgator had a Mac client. Oh well, you can't have everything I guess.
