Why Sharepoint really isn't used for weblogging

Today Robert Scoble blogged about why SharePoint isn't being used for weblogging.

Up front, it would seem that SharePoint with its ability to easily create lists and data entry pages makes it ideal for blogging. I originally started blogging with SharePoint, but found that it wasn't as easy as other blogging systems.

Though it does raise the question: will Microsoft ever release a product soley designed at weblogs? This totally make sense.
