MSDN Gets a Nice Face Lift

I noticed today that MSDN Online web site has a shiny new look. Things are lighter and also seem a bit snappier.

This is a nice change, the last site color tone was dark. (Last thing you want is a depressing color when your already up late debugging.)

I also went into the Library section and this also seemed faster. I've spent most of the last two years avoiding this section, because it was so slow navigating down the tree structure. Today the tree seems fast, maybe I will start using it again.

On another funny note, my brother Jesse (who works with us at OfficeZealot.com) uses MSDN online exclusively for help. He says there search is many times faster than the local MSDN help. At first I thougth he was joking, but I don't think he is. I started up local VS.NET help and about 30 seconds later the program was up. 30 SECONDS?!! I have a P4, 1gig of ram, raided hard drives with 200mb/sec read access and it takes 30 seconds for a help file to load. MSDN help on the other hand (if you have the URL bookmarked) takes about 5 seconds.

Sad.
