ActiveWords: More cool features you have to see!
Yesterday I featured ActiveWords, the winner of the first OfficeZealot.com Stamp of Approval. Today I want to follow-up on how I use this revolutionary program. Don't take just my word for it:

ActiveWords: Other Ways I use it?
I have been using ActiveWords for everything. Mostly I have been replacing my browser Favorites with ActiveWords. I have also been scripting out ActiveWords that log me into frequently used sites. The following is an example of launching Internet Explorer, navigating to a web page, and inserting my user credentials:
<"c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE">
<"http://mysite/"><WAIT FOR WINDOW:TITLE=Administrator - Microsoft Internet Explorer>
<tab><SHIFT><tab><SHIFT><tab>USER NAME<SHIFT><tab>PASSWORD<enter>
I am also starting to create a code snippet library similar to the Select Case routine shown earlier for commonly used programming routines.
Finally, I have fallen in love with the ActiveWord add-ins available free from there website. They have an Outlook Agent that allows you to pull up a contact from anywhere in Windows, create an appointment, tasks, contact, and much more.
Product Support
The ActiveWords teams is downright impressive. I’ve sent inquiries to the support team, both as chris@officezealot.com and anonymously. I always get a quick response and a good working solution to my problem. I have also found the team is realistic about where their product needs to improve and welcomes feedback.
ActiveWords also hosts a great discussion forum at Yahoo Groups where ActiveDocs employees and Users share tips, tricks and scripts.
In Summary
ActiveWords rocks! You should download it and give it a try. My final advice to you is install it and force yourself to use it for a few days. As I mentioned yesterday, ActiveWords is a little hard to describe and at first glance its value is not clear. However, once you start using it, you won’t be able to live without it.
Special note to Microsoft
I have special advice for Microsoft: buy this startup company and integrate the feature set into Windows. This could be a killer feature that attracts people to buy the next version of Windows or Office.
