Press reports next version of Microsoft Office due in 2006...
Microsoft has publicly put a date for the next version of Office. Bill himself was quoted as saying 'next year' as picked up by
PC World and
ComputerWorld. One thing we know about the Office team is that when they put out a ship date, they hit pretty darn close (not like some other groups @ MS, tisk... tisk...) But according to the scant details of these articles, Office 12 (code name for now) is a mystery at this point. Hopefully by beta time we can all see what's under the covers...
