Office Tech*Ed sessions are full!
Who says Office is dead?! Well no one did really but it has been alluded to by enough tech folks who think Office 'coolness' has waned a bit. But yet I am sitting in a yet another Office session at Tech*Ed that is simply packed! Yes it is still cool!!!!
To give you an example, being the good MS partner & Office citizen I actually gave my seat up left Steven Sinofsky's session yesterday because it was so packed that they were turning people away so I gave up mine to a new potential Office Zealot ;-)
Right now, I am sitting in a session on Excel XML and I am in the very last seat on the very last row of another packed room (probably 300+)!
This is simply great! People are looking at Office in a light of solutions and extensibility as much as ever... It warms this zealot?s heart...
I have also spent a lot of time in the Microsoft Pavilion and the number of folks coming to learn about the Microsoft Office Information Bridge Framework has been numerous and steady.
Yep, you can listen to the critics or you can count the numbers? people are looking about Office, thinking about Office, and doing stuff with Office. There are a number of more sessions during the rest of the week and in the ?Cabana? section here at Tech*Ed on Office and I bet they too will be packed. Maybe someday soon we can hope to see a dedicated Office conference once again...
