Microsoft Office Information Bridge Announced @ Tech*Ed 2004
In Steve Ballmer's keynote this morning at Microsoft Tech*Ed 2004, Microsoft announced the Microsoft Office Information Bridge Framework. This has dual meaning for me ? first, it is a really cool technology that connects Office to the enterprise and I think its going to be successful. And secondly, the announcement means by NDA is lifted so I can finally talk about publicly!
Yes, if you were curious the ?mysterious? new technology I have been working on has been the Microsoft Office Information Bridge Framework. I was working closely with the MS IBF team to help assist them with developer readiness by building samples and Hand-on-lab materials. (Sidebar ? if you are at Tech*Ed, come take the IBF Hand-on-lab in Room 6E, machines 313-332.)
I am not going to go into great technical content on what IBF is in this blog post (though expect to hear more from me later) but let me point you to a couple of sources to get started right away. Start with the official Microsoft Office Information Bridge home page on MSDN, then take a look at the IBF ZONE on OfficeZealot.com.
