C|Net reported that Sun's main distributor of Star Office has just eclipsed the one million mark in units sold.
Now before you get feisty and say "Gee... only a few hundred million behind Microsoft Office", think about that. First off, to sell a million copies in the face of overwhelming competition is pretty successful (I would like to sell a million of anything at any price). Second, that proves that choice is essential to the market and that Microsoft still needs to be creative ? with both the product and the pricing.
Remember, I think competition is healthy for the market and the products, so I say congrats to Sun. Microsoft take note.
