Word: Pop the Balloons
I just saw this new KB article (KB832661) on how you can turn off the balloons for comments in Word 2002(XP)/2003. I guess since there was a KB released on it, other people find it a bit cumbersome too to always have the entire margin taken over by brightly color bubbles that distort the document.

For example, I just wrote a utility this week to store the property bag info of smart tags in a comment so I could 'hover over' a recognized smart tag and "see into it". I was pestered by the margin mayhem so I quickly turned this off.
The KB only mentions the Tools | Options menu method for doing this but don?t forget you can do it from the Reviewing toolbar under its Show | Balloonsmenu command. Now if I could just keep the Reviewing toolbar in check...
